Relaxing with Minnie

Hello, my name is Julie and I live in Whetstone. I have always been an animal lover and have owned or been around dogs for many years. I currently own a young mischievous Maltese called Minnie and a moody cat called Raffles. Over the years I have had, or cared for, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, budgies, horses and ponies. I believe in treating animals with respect, patience and love. I have spent my working years in a care giving environment, the last 15 years in the NHS as a community children's health care worker. It was a very stressful role and I took early retirement to follow my dream of working with dogs. At first I started as a dog walker, but as my own Minnie needed grooming every 6 weeks I began to think that I wanted to be able to do that too. So I invested my savings on taking a dog grooming course with a certified Master Groomer and set up a brand new grooming cabin at home. This has cost an awful lot of money, but, how lucky am I that I have been able to do this, to work from home and meet lovely dogs and their owners everyday!
